Every culture throughout all the centuries of human history have told stories. We are all susceptible to the compelling power of narrative. Yet no one is as creative, brilliant, or dramatic as God Himself! Far too often we reduce the grand story of His coming to a predictable pageant or limit its relevance to a certain time on the calendar. We need to come once again to the accounts of the birth of Jesus and realize that this holy event holds powerful revelation for understanding the scriptures and beholding the majesty of our Lord.
Paul declared that in the fullness of time, God sent forth His Son! (Galatians 4:4). Our hearts are to be absolutely fascinated by when and how God made His entrance into the world. In this course, we will explore the significance of the coming of Jesus in its biblical and historical setting, as well as understanding how the different gospel accounts complement another. As we behold the details of His story, we will discover fresh revelation of God’s heart and His ways that will propel us into deeper intimacy with Him.
This course begins December 5th.
