The Church has long understood that we are in a battle. It’s a battle of good and evil, light and darkness, and we know from Scripture that "the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). He seeks to come in with oppression, heaviness, and confusion by filling us with tormenting and accusing thoughts. We contend through cycles of lust, fear and rejection, and often find ourselves battle-weary.
The Apostle Paul told us that we are not to war according to the flesh, but instead, we have weapons that are not carnal, but are mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds, the casting down of arguments, and the tearing down of every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. He has not left us without weapons to “cast down” the tactics of the enemy, but sadly, many believers are not aware of these weapons, or how to use them in dismantling the schemes of the devil.
I felt the Lord bring this issue of learning how to engage in biblical, God-centered warfare to my attention because I believe He not only wants His saints equipped for battle, but because He also wants to deliver us from torment, anxiety, and oppression. Join me for this 3-week online course, and let’s believe for the Lord to bring His freedom to us as we learn how to fight God’s way
