The death and resurrection of Jesus and the birth of the early church is one of the greatest transitions in human history. In Jesus’ final hours before the cross, he prepares the hearts of his disciples for the pain of loss and betrayal, but also the great promise of the Holy Spirit’s outpouring, communion with the Father, and a new kind of love and unity the world had never seen before.
There’s coming another great transition in Jesus’ second coming. What we see in John 13-17 is critical for these days. The same things that Jesus taught to stabilize the hearts of his disciples for his departure, is the same things He is speaking to us today to prepare us for His arrival.
In this course we will walk through the glorious chapters of Jesus’ final discourse with His disciples before He goes to the cross. We will work our way through each of these 5 chapters and hear what Jesus taught, see how Jesus acted, and pray how Jesus prayed.
Your Instructor
Corey Russell’s passion and pursuit is to awaken and inspire prayer across the earth. He and his family served at the International House of Prayer for 18 years teaching, and discipling students in prayer. He recently moved to Denver, CO to join the House Denver Church, and also travels nationally and internationally preaching on themes of Knowledge of God, Intercession, and the Forerunner Ministry. He has written 9 books and released 6 Prayer albums, and since 2018 has hosted an online school discipling students in prayer. He resides in Denver, CO with his wife, Dana and their 3 daughters.
