The Holy Spirit is shouting to the global church in these days, “BUY OIL!!!” He is calling us to slow down and to prioritize intimacy with Him above everything else. This has always been the Holy Spirit’s message in every generation, however, when Jesus taught on ‘buying oil’ in Matthew 25, it was set in the very specific context of being prepared for the hour of His return.
I am deeply convinced that we are living in the beginning of the generation of the Lord’s return. Jesus declared clearly in Matthew 24-25 that unprecedented deception would increase along with discernible signs in the sky, in the culture, and in the Middle East leading to His literal return to the earth to rule and reign forever. He gives a whole chapter on the unique events that will indicate we are in the generation of His return, and then shares 4 parables on how we are to prepare for that time. I want to invite you to join me as we walk through Matthew 24-25 and give practical ways to buy oil as we prepare for HIs coming.
Your Instructor
Corey Russell’s passion and pursuit is to awaken and inspire prayer across the earth. He and his family served at the International House of Prayer for 18 years teaching, and discipling students in prayer. He recently moved to Denver, CO to join the House Denver Church, and also travels nationally and internationally preaching on themes of Knowledge of God, Intercession, and the Forerunner Ministry. He has written 9 books and released 6 Prayer albums, and since 2018 has hosted an online school discipling students in prayer. He resides in Denver, CO with his wife, Dana and their 3 daughters.
